“Sleep Lethe sleep” by Iona Gilburt

Sleep Lethe sleep,
drink away your own forgetfulness.
Beneath the weight,
of deep hues and damp leaves,
you sway,
to somnolence, to loss,
to waves untangling through your past.
Lulled by your heavy skin,
you fall;
wrapped and bound,
you drown.
